Why we built a cleaning matching network instead of another cleaning company — and what we actually do for you and for the cleaners we vet.
Hiring a cleaner in Oakland County usually means one of two bad options. The big national chains churn through cleaners — different crew every week, no accountability, missed details, surprise add-ons. The one-person operators are great until they get sick, take a vacation, or get booked out. Customers end up bouncing between bad options.
We built Oakland Property Services to fix the matching problem, not add another cleaning company to the pile. We vet local cleaners on your behalf, and when you request service we route you to a cleaner who actually fits your job — not whoever's available on a national dispatch board.
Three things, plainly:
We don't perform the cleaning. We don't dispatch crews. We don't handle pricing — that's between you and your matched cleaner. The cleaner is an independent licensed local business; we're the matching layer above them.
Every cleaner accepted into our network has been:
If a cleaner stops meeting any of these, they're removed from the network. We'd rather match you with a smaller pool of vetted cleaners than a larger pool of unverified ones.
You and your matched cleaner handle: pricing negotiation, scheduling, scope, payment, and any job-specific issues. The cleaner is your service provider.
We handle: the matching, the vetting, the follow-up, and resolution if a quality issue can't be worked out directly. If we can't resolve a problem with a cleaner, we'll match you with a different cleaner from the network for next time — and we may remove the original cleaner from the network depending on what happened.
We're based in Oakland County. We're not a national franchise with a corporate office in another state, and we're not a tech company in San Francisco scraping cleaning listings. The cleaners in our network live and work in this county, and so do we.
If something ever goes sideways, that's a feature — there's a real owner you can talk to, not a customer service portal overseas.
Each cleaner in our network carries their own $1M general liability insurance and applicable city licensing. Property managers, realtors, and HOAs can request a Certificate of Insurance from your matched cleaner before service — we facilitate this introduction.
Oakland Property Services itself is a licensed Michigan business operating as a marketing and matching service. We're not the service provider, so we don't carry janitorial bonding or workers' compensation — those obligations belong to the cleaners performing the work.
Tell us about your space — your matched cleaner will contact you with pricing and availability, usually within an hour.
